CAMP-BRAIN ACADEMIC SUMMER CAMP OVERVIEW

Located on stunning oceanfront property in San Diego, California, our academic summer school program offers a wide range of dynamic programs for students. Program selections include: Camp-Brain Enrichment, Camp-Brain Credit, and English as a Second Language (ESL).

Academy by the Sea offers mandatory study hall, proctored by members of the faculty and access to our library and computer lab with internet access, providing students with additional study time and resources in a structured educational environment.

For teens that are eager to learn, prepare for college, or improve in a particular subject area, the program offers a perfectly balanced summer experience. Along with a variety of course options, the Academy relies on small class sizes to promote individualized teacher attention and increased classroom participation.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

It's not all work and no play at Academy by the Sea. To provide a well-rounded summer experience, students participate in recreational activities during their free time. Students have access to an outdoor swimming pool, athletic fields, gymnasium, oceanfront recreational center and a beach area monitored by certified lifeguards. There are also weekend activities that participants take part in.

CURRICULUM/SCHEDULE

Academic Summer Camp participants may take one of the following options:

1. Camp-Brain Enrichment: Students may take up to four courses from our course offerings. Students must be entering grades 7-12.

2. Camp-Brain Credit: Students may take one or two courses (two semesters) from our course offerings. Students must be entering grades 10 through 12.
